I used to dread sports and anything related to physical activity when I was a child.

At the age of 12 I was overweight, overly shy and overwhelmed with guilt for being the way I was.

It wasn't until I discovered fitness that I understood there was something I could do to gain control of my life. That my body and mind could change, if I dedicated some time and put some effort into moving more.

I began swimming, running and cycling, and this made me feel so much better about my body. I became more empowered by taking control of my health and creating a new version of myself.

 

Towards the end of my teenage years, I enrolled in a fitness studio and began taking part in group fitness classes. This was a big step out of my comfort zone, but I found out that it was so much fun!

Fitness changed my life, so now I dedicate it to changing other people's lives too.

Having taught my first classes in Portugal, I moved to London a few years later to pursue a full-time career in the fitness industry. After 4 years in the big city, I spent 18 months living by Lake Geneva, in Switzerland, working as Head Group Trainer while completing the ACSM Certificate in Personal Training.

Now in Australia, I bring all my passion and expertise to #fit_r's exclusive programs, designed to give you the best results and that special feeling of mission accomplished after each workout!

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FOR MY FIRST VISIT?

Our studio doors open 10 minutes before each class. We ask that you arrive at least 5 minutes before the class scheduled time. We want this to be a great experience for you, so speak to us, let us get to know you and help you set up for the class.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO MY FIRST CLASS?

It will get sweaty, so we encourage bringing a small towel and a water bottle, which you can refill at the studio. Activewear and comfortable footwear, such as runners, are a must!

I HAVEN'T DONE A FITNESS CLASS IN AGES. WHICH CLASS IS RIGHT FOR ME?

We recommend starting with the trampoline tone class as the pace is a bit slower and you'll have more time to catch your breath during active recoveries.
If you have any concerns or injuries, please speak to us prior to the class. We want to make sure you do what is right for you.

WHAT IS A TRAMPOLINE CLASS?

Our trampoline classes incorporate basic aerobic moves with body weight / dumbbells / resistance bands exercises.
The goal of the class is to give you a full body workout, while keeping it very safe on the joints and lower back.
Our trampolines are rated among the best in the global market allowing for a very comfortable bounce, which absorbs up to 90% of the impact compared to doing the same exercises on a hard surface, guaranteeing the right amount of challenge for a great workout.

I AM PREGNANT, CAN I STILL JOIN YOUR CLASSES?

Many women are fine to continue exercising during pregnancy if they were already exercising regularly prior to becoming pregnant, however due to the nature of trampoline classes, we recommend that first you get in touch with us via email to arrange a free health assessment, so that we can discuss which options are best for you.

I HAVEN'T GOT A STRONG PELVIC FLOOR/LOWER BACK/KNEES. CAN I STILL JOIN A TRAMPOLINE CLASS?

Yes, you can! Training on the rebounder can help strengthen your pelvic floor, as well as the muscles responsible for helping to maintain a strong posture and healthy knees. Please speak to the Instructor prior to the class so that we can give you some helpful tips to make this class an awesome experience to you.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I DO YOUR CLASSES?

If you are a beginner, we recommend starting with 2 to 3 classes a week, on non repeat days. If you are on a mission to become fitter and have got no time to waste, then we encourage you to train up to 6 days per week, mixing different class genres to ensure your body stays challenged enough!

WHAT IF I AM LATE FOR CLASS?

We ask that you arrive at least 5 minutes prior to each class, to ensure you are all set. However, we know that life sometimes gets in the way, or traffic becomes hectic, so we allow entrance in the studio up to 5 minutes after the class starting time.

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

If you can't make it to class, we allow cancellation for up to 6h before the class starts. You can do so by logging in to your MindBody account and cancelling your space. If you fail to cancel your class before this time, we are unable to refund your credit.

CAN I SHOWER AT THE STUDIO?

Yes, we offer shower facilities, but we ask that you bring your own toiletries and bath towel. Don't worry, we have enough space in the lockers to store your items during class.

WHERE CAN I PARK MY CAR?

We have plenty of parking available, both at the front and at the rear of the complex. If you'd like to park closer to the studio, use the rear parking and then take the stairs up to Unit 14 (Higher Spaces).

DO YOU OFFER 1 ON 1 SESSIONS AS WELL?

Yes, we do! João is a qualified Personal Trainer with a decade of experience.
